The Eye of Providence is a symbol depicting an eye surrounded by rays of light or in glory, often within or atop a triangle or pyramid. It is often interpreted as a representation of divine providence, the eye of God watching over humanity.

The earliest known examples of its use as a Christian symbol can be found in Renaissance religious art to represent God, as can be seen in the painting "Supper at Emmaus" by the Renaissance artist Pontormo in 1525. Another example of its Christian use is found in the book of emblems called Iconologia, first published in 1593.

In its current form, the symbol first appeared in the West during the 17th and 18th centuries, but many articles and people confuse the "All-Seeing Eye" with the Egyptian mythological depiction of the Eye of Horus. In 17th-century descriptions, the "Eye of Providence" sometimes appears surrounded by clouds.

When creating the Eye of Providence, the creator used previously existing religious symbols. Each symbol is believed to have the following meanings:
